Description
Pharos Designer VLC+ (Video Lighting Controller+)
The Pharos Designer VLC+ is a powerful architectural lighting controller designed to manage large-scale HD video and LED lighting façade projects. With an advanced processor and powerful rendering capabilities, the VLC+ can output up to 3,000 universes (1,536,000 channels) of eDMX from a single controller while simultaneously managing HD video playback and lighting effects.
Built for major architectural installations, media façades, and entertainment lighting, the VLC+ combines lighting control, video playback, and show automation in a single high-performance system.
Key Features
Powerful Processing Engine
The VLC+ is capable of rendering multiple layers of effects and HD video simultaneously, using either:
-
Internal media storage
-
Live video input
Processing features include:
-
Video rotation
-
Masking

Enhanced eDMX Pass-Through
Allows external DMX data to pass through the controller and be distributed across the system.
Capabilities include:
-
Routing incoming eDMX to controller outputs
-
Sending data to local ports, EDN nodes, or RIO G4 devices
-
Configurable triggers and conditions to enable or disable pass-through
-
Outputting incoming eDMX to multiple universes simultaneously
DMX Record Universe Remapping
Recorded lighting data can be re-routed to different universes.
This allows:
-
Recordings to be used on different universes than originally recorded
-
Flexible mapping inside the lighting project
-
Distribution across multiple controllers or protocols
Timeline Resource Manager
A centralized system for managing all show resources.
Functions include:
-
Import media files
-
Replace or delete resources
-
Rename assets
-
Copy and paste scenes
